Solar · Battery · Heat pump · EV charger

The honest number behind your system.

Enermoni recalculates self-consumption, self-sufficiency and battery losses independently of any manufacturer, with your grid meter as the reference. And it tells you when something stops working.

Message me directly:

Every app does its own maths

Inverter, battery, heat pump and EV charger often come from different manufacturers. Each app shows its own view, and none of them has to match what your grid meter measures.

Calculated from their own sensors

Vendor apps usually work with readings from their own devices. What your grid meter counts, the energy you pay for and get paid for, often plays no part.

Losses are left out

Battery charge and discharge losses and the inverter’s own consumption are missing from many displays. Self-sufficiency then looks better than it is.

No overall balance

With devices from several manufacturers there is no single place where everything comes together. What your system really delivers remains a guess.

Outages go unnoticed

A string that dropped out, a battery that no longer charges, an inverter that lost its connection: often nobody notices for weeks.

What Enermoni does

One balance across all devices, independent of the manufacturer, with every calculation traceable.

Energy balance

Self-consumption, self-sufficiency, battery losses and savings, calculated from measurements. The grid meter is the reference, and deviations from device readings are shown.

Diagnostics

Rules detect typical faults, such as a battery that does not charge despite surplus solar, or a heat pump that cycles too often.

Outage alerts

If a system stops sending data or produces clearly less than expected, you get a message.

Vendor-independent

Solar, battery, heat pump and EV charger in one balance. At launch, Fronius and Victron systems are connected directly, without Home Assistant; more manufacturers will follow.

The maths, out in the open

No number without a derivation: every figure in Enermoni follows from measurements. These are the basic formulas, each calculated over the same period.

Household consumption

Consumption = grid import + solar generation − grid export − battery charge + battery discharge

Grid import and export come from the grid meter. What the house consumed follows from the energy balance, not from an estimate.

Self-consumption rate

Self-consumption rate = (solar generation − grid export) ÷ solar generation

The share of solar energy that stayed in the house or in the battery.

Self-sufficiency

Self-sufficiency = (consumption − grid import) ÷ consumption

The share of consumption covered without energy from the grid.

Battery losses

Battery loss = battery charge − battery discharge − increase in stored energy

The energy lost while charging, discharging and on standby.

The full derivation including special cases (charging the battery from the grid, the inverter’s own consumption, missing readings) will be published on the page “How Enermoni calculates”.

Frequently asked questions

Does Enermoni replace my manufacturer’s app?

No. The manufacturer’s app remains the place for device settings. Enermoni adds an independent balance across all devices and monitoring that reports outages.

Which devices are supported?

At launch, Fronius and Victron systems, connected directly without Home Assistant. More manufacturers and a Home Assistant integration will be added step by step.

Why the grid meter as the reference?

The grid meter measures what gets billed: grid import and export. If device readings differ from it, Enermoni shows the difference instead of hiding it.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU, on servers in Germany. Measurements are not passed on and are deleted completely on request.
